Kakamega Forest is a beautiful tropical rainforest situated in Western Kenya. It is home to various birds that will interest any serious birdwatcher. Other animals include bush pigs, Colobus monkeys, pottos and giant forest hedgehogs.
Some of the birds that we'll expect to see once as we venture into this Guineo-Congolian rainforest include:
- Kakamega Greenbul
- White-tailed Ant-Thrush
- Blue-headed Bee-eater
- Yellow-bellied Wattle-eye
- African Broadbill
- Red-headed Bluebill
- Chubb's Cisticola etc.

DAY 1: Departure From Hotel, Arrival And Start Of Tour
We begin our departure from the hotel.
We'll then arrive at our destination where our bird watching safari will begin.
Once over we will head back to the hotel.
